And the winner is . . .
Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. So grab a copy and get reading.
For those of you who were interested in reading Middlesex, hold off for a while. Based on everyone's interest, I imagine that will be next month's book.

OK, how does this work, exactly?
Is there a specific time frame within which we are expected to finish the entire book?
Is there a chapter schedule?
Be expected to discuss such and such by this date certain?
It's an interesting concept and I'd like to participate, but I just started Neil Gaiman's "Stardust" (after discovering "Anansi Boys" and "American Gods") and I'm not sure if I want to jump ship from Gaiman to Vonnegut (although it should be a fairly smooth transition). I have "Neverwhere" waiting in the wings and am on a bit of a Gaiman frenzy at the moment.
So, what are the rules and expectations for participation?
Dear fellow readers, do you have the same problems I'm having??
I ordered THE book by Amazon, at that time only 3 of us had voted, last night they returned my money because the book is not available. So I tried Waterstones in the UK, they said they had them in stock... NO WAY ! It's on hold for the coming weeks... :-(
XO and Peter, I will e-mail you both with answers to your questions.
Walmart.com has it for $7.35 + .97 shipping

JL, Walmart doesn't ship to Europe or the Netherlands.
alas. Peter, if you can't get it, I'll send you mine when I'm done.
Ok is anyone else reading this book as quickly as I? I'm nearly finished and I just started 2 days ago. So far I'm really enjoying it and finding some great quotes! Has anyone else ever read Vonnegut? Are they all like this?
Ummm, I haven't actually bought the book yet.
But I plan to! Really soon! Maybe this weekend!
XO: It's a really, really fast read.
Sounds interesting - I will google it and read some reviews...
I work just 2 blocks from the KC Public Library. My plan is to do something I haven't done in years. Go get a library card and actually check the book out! This will be a hoot!
OK, I tried that.
Guess what?
The Kansas City Public Library doesn't have any available copies in stock. Soonest estimated wait time was 8 days.

Ok, Crash, when are we gonna start talking about this book? I've nearly forgotten what it was about and may need some reminders.
